Our preschool philosophy incorporates all aspects of the Rhode Island Early Learning and Development Standards, with a focus on playful activity that enhances children’s cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development.

We believe children are able to learn best when they are able to:

• Discover concepts through hands-on activities.
• Explore their environment, both indoors and outdoors.
• Have time for uninterrupted play in a variety of learning centers.
• Learn about nature and the natural world around them.
• See social behaviors modeled by caregivers who teach by example in treating others in a caring and respectful manner.

​The Children’s Village offers a rich preschool program that develops children’s learning and social skills in a warm, caring environment. We use fun and educational materials that pique children’s curiosity and allow them to explore their current interests while developing new ones. Our preschoolers explore nature, science, arts and crafts, music, technology, and more. At the same time, they learn self-control and respect for others around them, including both peers and adults. 

Our preschool program provides morning snack and milk. Munroe Dairy 2% milk is if offered twice daily, during morning snack and lunch.
